Data Center Containment Rack

Data Center Containment Rack is a system or technology designed to improve operational efficiency and environmental management in the Data Center. The main goal is to separate the flow of hot and cold air in the server space, so as to increase cooling, reduce energy consumption, and extend the life of IT equipment.

Basically, the Containment Rack functions to “confine” hot or cold air so as not to be mixed. There are two main types: Cold Aisle Containment and Hot Aisle Containment. In Cold Aisle Containment, server shelves are arranged in such a way that the cold air from the cooling system only flows into the front server area, while Hot Aisle Containment places the hot air produced by the server into a separate area, and then removed out of the room.

Without this solution, organizations face the following challenges:

Inefficient Data Center Operations

Without using the data center containment rack, inefficiencies will occur due to limited PAC/CRAC capacity, leading to increased cooling costs.
Cost-Saving Through Efficient Cooling

Implementing a data center containment rack helps save on cooling, leading to significant cost reduction and improved operational efficiency.
Enhanced Physical Security

Data center containment racks provide double protection by securing critical infrastructure and improving physical security.
